Jeff Miller

Jeff Miller

Jeff Miller has over 45 years of experience in the construction industry on projects ranging from residential renovations and new home construction to large government projects. His skills and experience are the backbone of our field operations. 

A quiet leader with an easy-going temperament, Jeff is extremely hard-working and demands excellence and cleanliness to ensure our clients receive the quality and experience we promise.  At the same time, Jeff is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and fun work environment where our team is challenged to perform at their highest level.

Jeremy Steinruck

Jeremy Steinruck

Jeremy Steinruck has over 25 years of experience in residential and light commercial construction and holds a Master’s Degree in Management from Wayland Baptist University. 

Jeremy manages the office activities from sales, through the design and pre-construction processes, until projects are prepared for handoff to production.  He works to improve efficiency and value before construction starts.  His most important responsibility is to cast the vision for the future of Axis Construction and organize and motivate our team toward our shared goals.

Our Story

Our story at Axis Construction began before we even had a name. Jeff managed construction sites as a superintendent, while Jeremy orchestrated project details from the office. Our skills meshed well, setting the stage for a successful collaboration. We drafted a business plan in 2007 and established Miller & Steinruck, Inc., the entity behind Axis Construction.

But our timing coincided with the tumultuous shifts in the economy. The building industry's rapid changes in 2007 tested our resilience. Those early, lean years shaped the DNA of our company — valuing hard work, humility, and the joy of service. By 2017, we realized that the back-end operations needed a dedicated team, shifting from late-night paperwork to structured office management.

2018 was a game-changer as we transitioned to digital design, recognizing its necessity for project accuracy and client engagement. Fast forward to 2020, we added a full-time design member to our team and refined our pre-construction process. We aimed for absolute clarity, ensuring projects were built on a solid foundation of mutual understanding and realistic planning.

Today, Axis Construction stands as a testament to the journey we've undertaken. Every day, we strive to embody our core values, ensuring that our clients' experiences are nothing short of exceptional.
